Anderson Lloyd advises on Christchurch's newest residential development

The plan brings together developers CDL Land New Zealand, Ngai Tahu Property Limited and Foodstuffs South Island, who have applied for the farmland areas they own to be rezoned for housing.

The project, which will require resource consent, is larger than the combined developments at nearby Northwood and the North Canterbury settlement at Pegasus Township, which Anderson Lloyd was responsible for achieving the necessary consents for.

Anderson Lloyd Partner, Lauren Semple says the firm is "delighted to again by providing legal advice on one of the most significant new urban developments in the country."

"Prestons' is a fine example of a master planned and integrated community which will provide for projected growth in the Greater Christchurch area. Demand for this sort of development in the North East of the City is significant and there is little available to meet that demand"

"Having been involved in consenting a number of significant urban developments (including the Pegasus and Jacks Point developments) Anderson Lloyd is very pleased to be able to use its specialist urban development skills to assist with the Prestons' project,” she said.
