What I like about my work
I enjoy the challenge. No file, client or query is ever the same. I'm lucky to have such a huge variety of work across the spectrum.
What I've done in the past
After getting my chemistry degree, I spent a number of years travelling the world, including the USA, Europe and North Africa. I returned to New Zealand, started a family and studied for my law degree. I summer clerked at Caudwells the year before it merged with Anderson Lloyd, and then began working for the firm in Dunedin in 2001. I moved to the Queenstown office in 2003.
The wide variety of resources, the firm's focus on creating value for clients and the huge variety of work were what attracted me to Anderson Lloyd.
My approach to working with my clients
I work to obtain efficient and creative solutions for my clients. I add technical knowledge, pre-empt obstacles, and work on-the-ground as part of the project team. I focus on making sure developments happen in a timely way.
What I enjoy at work
The firm has some great resources. Its size means that I can tap into lots of specialist knowledge across the board. I also like being able to move between the three offices, and the firm's focus on excellence both in terms of performance and service.
What I enjoy outside of work
I enjoy spending time with my family and am a regular sideline Mum at soccer matches. I also enjoy films, reading and light exercise!
What I enjoy about living in the South Island
I love the access to the outdoors and the ease of getting into the office. There are no traffic jams or parking issues to contend with. It's great to have really good work without having to live in a city.
